VIII Colóquio Internacional será apresentado pela Univassouras e Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa
O evento será realizado entre os dias 6 e 8 de maio de 2024, no auditório Severino Sombra, na Univassouras. Com a participação de 37 estudiosos portugueses, brasileiros e de Goa, a programação conta com palestras, comunicações e exposição, intitulada “A Casa Senhorial em Portugal, Brasil e Goa: Anatomia de Interiores”, que será inaugurada no dia 6 de maio, às 19 horas, no Centro Cultural Cazuza.
O colóquio é dedicado aos estudos sobre aspectos arquitetônicos, decorativos, e uso da casa, tanto em uma perspectiva rural quanto urbana, entre os século XVII e XIX. Nesse sentido, o evento pretende demonstrar as diferenças e similitudes entre os modelos de patrimônio cultural de influência lusitana, em continentes e reinos distintos, promovendo o diálogo de especialistas de naturalidades diversas.
Dentre os objetivos do evento destaca-se a criação de espaços de diálogo acadêmico acerca da cultura senhorial de matriz ibero-lusitana, dentre as quais identificamos os seus traços em Vassouras, bem como a valorização a arquitetura rural e urbana do Vale do Paraíba, com destaque para os casarões vassourenses
Além de analisar os traços arquitetônicos específicos das casas senhoriais lusitanas, na Índia, no Brasil e em Portugal; apresentar as contribuições de pesquisadores especializados no tema; favorecer a compreensão da importância do patrimônio cultural na formação identitária dos sujeitos e de abordar as mensagens inerentes à disposição de cada uma das casas antigas em questão.
O Colóquio é uma reunião acadêmica luso-brasileira e itinerante, realizada pela Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa/Minc e a Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Nesta edição de 2024 tem a adesão da Univassouras, o patrocínio da Faperj, e apoio do Museu Casa da Hera/Ibram, do Museu de Vassouras/Instituto Vassouras Cultural e da Prefeitura Municipal de Vassouras.
